Configuring jenkins with Robot Framework

Jenkins is an import aspect of devops and is being widely used to schedule the execution of scrips now a days.

In this blog i will help out to configure the Jenkins integration  with robot framework

Download Jenkins

You can refer to below url and download jenkin as per your environment

Installation

Install jenkins from exe  

Once you click on Finish , your local browser opens up

It will ask for password

Go to your local installation directory , in my case it was   C:\Program Files (x86)\Jenkins\Secrets

Click on intialAdminPassword , copy the password and paste it on Administrator password section


Click on Install suggested plugins

You can create your own user

Create a free style project

I provided the name as "Demo" project. Now we need to install required plugins to support robotframework.

Go to Manage plugins

Under the Available Tab, select Robot Framework Plugin, click on Install without restart




Now come back to your project and click on Configure , Provide some description in General tab






Scroll down to come to build environment  and select "Execute Windows batch command"

Provide your command as given below

Scroll down to Next option Post-build Actions>Add post-build action

Select Publish Robot Framework test results

Provide the output directory where your log file would be generated 

Click on save and apply .

Now come back to your Project.Click on Build

Project will run and result will be displayed like below
